Liza Meak

Director / Writer / Producer

An award-winning broadcast journalist, who has spent her career producing at television stations across the country, including the last 13 years at NBC Bay Area, the NBC owned station in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Most recently, she worked as a producer on the critically acclaimed documentary, Batkid Begins, which was acquired by New Line Cinema, a division of Warner Brothers. The Documentary won audience awards at Cinequest Film Festival, Ashland Independent Film Festival, Omaha Film Festival, Dallas Film Festival, and Rincon International Festival. Liza also wrote and produced the documentary, Molly’s Journey, for NBC Bay Area, which aired in 2014. The short documentary followed a young mother of two who is living with stage IV lung cancer. Molly’s Journey won two Gracie Awards and a regional Emmy award.

Liza graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism.

Kathryn Basiji

Director / Producer

Kathryn is a Gunn High School alum. As a local resident with continuing ties to the community where she grew up, Kathryn is passionate about uncovering the underlying causes behind the burgeoning mental health crisis facing Palo Alto’s students.

Steve Pitre

Director of Photography

Based in Oakland, CA. Steve shoots narratives, documentaries, commercials, web and corporate, and he recently relocated from Brooklyn, New York City, where he lived for 10 years.

He studied the art and technique of photography at the prestigious Cégep de Matane, Quebec, in his native Canada. Upon graduation, he studied in Cinema and Video at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, as part of that school’s multidisciplinary Baccalaureate in Arts program. He is fluent in both French and English.

Steve freelances as Director of Photography for a variety of companies and organizations, including Starr Media Design, Jalbert Productions International, Tough Mudder, Brave World Pic, Vocativ TV, World Fishing Network, RTBF (TV), DePalma Productions, MunkyTown Productions, Kaleidoscope Pictures, Trutopo Films, Disruptive Pictures, and many more.

Jeff Clayton


Jeff is an award winning photographer/editor. He has more than 15 years working at various networks including ABC, FOX, CBS, and most recently NBC in the San Francisco Bay Area where he won a regional Emmy Award. He has spent time some time on the entertainment side, as a camera operator for the SyFy channel award winning show Face Off, which won a TV Choice Award. Jeff now runs his own production company, Three Son Media.
